Overview
WDI designs, engineers, and manufactures innovative microscopy automation solutions. Our portfolio includes OEM components, optomechanical and optoelectronic sub-systems, compact autofocus sensors, automated microscopy modules, and end-user IR imaging systems.
WDI technology supports organizations across Life Science, Biomedical Imaging, Machine Vision, and Electronics/Semiconductor Manufacturing industries. Our solutions are trusted by leading companies including Intel, Corning, Apple, Samsung, and LG.
All WDI products contain embedded software and are driven by advanced software applications utilizing Software Development Kits (SDKs). The Software Validation Developer plays a critical role in ensuring new software, firmware, enhancements, and bug fixes are rigorously tested before release.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop automated test procedures using AutoIt.
- Create unit test modules using C/C++ or C# and related tools.
- Develop test case documentation and test code based on Software Application and SDK manuals.
- Create validation tests based on JIRA bug reports and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
- Maintain test history and analyze weaknesses in development processes.
- Maintain and enhance automated regression testing tools.
- Assist Software Developers with pre-release software testing.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong knowledge of C/C++, C#, Visual Studio, and .NET.
- Experience with AutoIT and/or PowerShell.
- Familiarity with National Instruments LabWindows.
- Experience with diagnostic tools: PerfMon, RegEdit, Event Viewer.
- Familiarity with JIRA, Jenkins, and Subversion.
- Experience with Oracle or VMware virtual machines.
- Understanding of software installation, uninstallation, and system configuration.
Required Qualifications
- College diploma or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Mathematics, Physics, or related technical discipline.
- Prior software development experience.
About the Position
Annual Salary Range: $76,000 – $87,000 CAD
